Tips for Your Goals

Did you make New Year’s resolutions at the start of January? If so, how well have you kept up on your goals? Forbes reported that nearly 80% of people give up on their resolutions by mid-February. Less than 25% of people with stick with health, exercise and weight-loss goals after 30 days. That leaves 11 more months of the year where resolutions aren’t being met. One of the daunting parts about goals for the year is that you can’t predict what the year will bring. If you’re starting from zero, making goals for a full 365 days may be a hard task, so it’s easy to give up when a few kinks happen. That is especially true with weight loss goals, as losing weight can just be hard at times. Coincidentally, this is the most common goal that people make each year.

The thing about health and weight loss goals is that everyday is different. Cravings will hit some days, while others you will be exercising and eating right and hitting every goal you made. For goals to be reached, they have to be something you think about often. Studies show that reminders every day help people to reach their goals better. Have you written down what you want to achieve with weight loss? What about how healthy you are eating? Many diets that work for people work because they are very structured. You want that same structure in your own life.

Going Strong On Your New Year’s Weight Loss Resolutions

Want to make your goals last? Here are a few tips:

  • Make your goals SMART GOALS.
  • Take it day-by-day. It’s hard to achieve weight loss, exercise or any other goals if you look at a full year. Right down your goals at night for the next day, then try to work on those goals just for that day. Then, do it all over again, adjusting your goals as needed.
  • Build yourself up. It’s a natural tendency to tear yourself down if you don’t achieve the goals you’ve made. Instead, tell yourself 5 things positive at the end of the night no matter if your day was successful with your goals or not. Do this throughout the day as well.
  • Work with a friend. Have someone by your side that is also working towards their own weight loss, nutrition, health or other goals. Being accountable to a loved one can help motivate you to work harder.
  • Get professional help. If you’ve tried over and over to achieve weight loss and goals for your health and you haven’t met them, it may be time for a professional. Not everyone is trained to know how to know every single thing about nutrition and weight loss. That is why you get a professional who is trained to help you with those things.

Nutrition Counseling

How healthy are you? Many people think they are pretty healthy, but they don’t have an exact picture of their health. The right nutrition is key in achieving weight loss and good health. Receiving professional counseling to lose weight is not difficult and it does not have to break the bank. Plus, once you learn how to diet and eat right, you can keep that knowledge with you for years to come. We have professional services to help you lose weight such as:

  • Medical Weight Loss – Use help aids to lose weight where you need it most. Difficult spots on the body are the thighs, hips, belly, back, upper arms, chin, neck and buttocks. With gentle laser light, you can use Laser-Like Lipo technology to body sculpt and contour your body. Laser light can use gentle heat and lightwaves to gently “melt” fat under your skin’s surface, similar to how it is melted with exercise. Fat is then removed through the digestive and lymphatic systems. This treatment takes only a few minutes of your time.
  • Nutritional Assessment – You won’t see your weight go anywhere very well if your diet is terrible. Nutrient deficiencies will cause you chronic conditions and an inability to lose weight. They also cause fatigue, digestive issues, a weak immune system, blood sugar problems and more. Get a nutritional assessment to assess deficiencies in the body and to see where fat deposits lie so you can target them. A customized diet and exercise plan based on this assessment can help you eat your way to a slimmer body this summer.

Exercise and Extra Help

Many people cringe at the thought of exercise, while others can’t wait to get up and hit the gym. Which person are you? If you are the first, then alternatives to exercise are nice. We recommend that every person at least exercise as much as the American Heart Association recommends, which is at least 150 minutes of exercise each week. That’s about 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Walking even counts, and that moderate exercise helps your body so much with weight loss, living longer, having good digestion and more.

If you don’t love exercise, you can also try some of our weight-loss aids like Laser-Like Lipo. This is a service that uses laser light to gently melt fat in areas of the body where weight loss is harder to achieve. It’s a gentle way to slim your frame. Our medical-grade Solutions4 Body Wrap, diet supplements and infrared sauna can also help you to meet your weight loss goals. Keep going strong with your weight loss goals.
